What kind of wet room projects do you take on?
Tenement conversions on suspended timber floors, occupational-therapy-specified accessible adaptations, solid-floor villa wet rooms, and smaller en suite conversions make up most of our work across Glasgow and the surrounding council areas.
How the approach changes with the property
Tenement conversion, Glasgow West End
A pre-1919 tenement bathroom on suspended timber joists. The deck is replaced with a rigid tile backer board, a shallow-profile linear drain fits the available joist depth, and the membrane is carried to 1,800mm on the shower walls to protect the flat below. Typically £8,500–£12,000.
Accessible adaptation, East Renfrewshire
An occupational-therapy-specified conversion from a bath to a level-access shower. Layout is built around the user's transfer side, with a wall-hung basin, grab rails fixed to noggins, and a fold-down seat. Typically £6,500–£11,000, sometimes part-funded through the council's Scheme of Assistance.
Solid-floor villa wet room, Bearsden
A ground-floor concrete slab, which allows a screeded fall to a central gully and a genuinely open layout with no screen. The easiest floor structure to work with, and typically the lower end of the standard family wet room range at £7,000–£9,500.
En suite conversion, Southside semi
A small existing en suite reworked to level access on a solid floor, keeping the waste in its existing position to control cost. A compact wet room under 4m² typically runs £5,000–£7,000.
